Fieldcraft is the name given to the skill which enables a cadet to carry out a variety of military activities with maximum efficiency whilst moving across country by day and night.

An individual’s success in fieldcraft will depend partly on his or her ability to use a map and compass.

Such activities that you can do within fieldcraft can be patrols, camouflage and concealment and the art of survival in the field.

Survival in the field isn’t what you think, this means personal admin and how to look after yourself whilst living in the field.

All of these activities will build your core skills such as teamwork and leadership, but you will also have lots of fun!
